Research report: Understanding digitalisation online

What does digitalisation mean and how can new work tasks be understood? There are many questions, but employees often find it difficult to match job and continuing education. To find a remedy, researchers from Hannover are presently developing an online-based learning platform.

Supported by the e-learning service (ZQS/elsa) of Leibniz Universität Hannover and the Agency of Adult and Continuing Education (AEWB), the Institute of Vocational Education and Adult Education (IFBE) and the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW) have been jointly developing an online learning platform offering location- and time-independent learning content related to digitalisation.

The platform combines virtual training courses with existing ones offered by the project partners: workshops provided by the SME 4.0 Competence Centre Hannover “mit uns digital“ or the Applied Machine Learning Academy as well as further education and adult education on site. Apart from education, the aim of the learning platform is to introduce interested persons to regular academic studies and advanced training courses offered by the project partners.
