At the end of January 2019, the ADAMOS Partner Network met for the third time at ZEISS in Oberkochen for a hackathon, a competition in which teams develop and implement software solutions within two to three days. The ADAMOS Partner Network is an alliance of well-known companies in the German mechanical engineering industry who want to expand and disseminate competences and solutions in the field of "Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)". The core of this alliance is the ADAMOS IIoT platform, which enables machine connections, data visualization and individual application development.
The solutions developed at the Hackathon 4.3 refer to practical challenges of mechanical engineering companies in industrial digitization, which are to be solved by the use of Industrial IoT. The teams are made up cross-functionally of developers, designers, visionaries and innovators.
A total of 60 participants from 15 companies from the ADAMOS partner network, divided into eight teams, had worked for three days each on different solutions in the Industrial IoT environment. Finally, the Hackathon jury honored three solutions and the best cross-company cooperation.
